Week 1

An assignment for a class that I am in is to follow a blog of someone who has a family member with ASD.  Never really following a blog before, I was a little out of my element as I started to search for a blog that would fit the criteria of the assignment. Once I had it narrowed down to several different blogs, I had trouble narrowing it down to the ones that really spoke to me.   I ended up bookmarking several and checked back throughout the week looking for the one that was updated the most. Success!  I decided on the blog: stark. raving. mad. mommy. losing my mind, one child at a time. The blog is found at  www.starkravingmadmommy.com and is written by the stark raving mad mommy herself.  The blog is about Mommy's  and her husband, the absent minded professor raising their four kids.  One child has an anxiety disorder, another with ADHD, a third with food allergies, and the fourth with Asperger's.   I choose this blog because it has a light hearted air.  In addition,  it tales of the day to day struggles of raising a child one the spectrum.  I really enjoy Mommy's humor and find that you have to laugh to keep from crying at the situations she faces.
